I had absolutely no doubts about what book would be the first one I start with.
Although I have already read this book before, I believe the best opinion should come fresh after a read. So I’ve started it again and I have to say, even though I’ve read this before, it’s just as unputdownable the second time around.
George R. R. Martin is the Shakespeare of our times. There are very few that can compare to him. This is not the first dystopian series written but it is the most defined, vast and well thought out.
Despite the fact that anyone who hasn’t been living under a rock and has the least bit of interest in books will already know all about this series, the intricacies of the plot and the depth of this book and it’s characters makes this a series that I wouldn’t recommend to readers under 21.
I will write my detailed thoughts about this once I finish the book. One thing I can already say is, this series has a class all it’s own and feels like the kind that should only be read by the elite few who would be able to properly appreciate it.
